Shoppers today have no shortage of choices when it comes to compact SUVs but if you’re looking for one that has genuine off-road capabilities, the Ford Bronco Sport is undeniably the correct choice. The Bronco Sport gets its go-anywhere-ness from a choice of two EcoBoost® engines and a standard 4X4 drivetrain. Several different trims to choose from as well as over 100 factory-backed individual accessories means that it’s easy to configure your Bronco Sport just the way you want it. Thanks to the Built Wild™ Extreme Durability Testing the Bronco Sport was put through in the Johnson Valley desert in California during development, this compact SUV’s off-road ability is more than just an appearance package.
"Inside, the Bronco Sport boasts an attractive design and a plethora of popular features. The little ute also has an impressive amount of space and several neat innovations. While its wheelbase is shorter than the Escape, the baby Bronco has an upright seating position and a decent amount of rear-seat legroom." — Car and Driver | "However, this bite-size adventure-mobile provides ample appeal with thoughtful features, a fun design, and legitimate off-road capability. Our First Drive featured seriously gnarly away-from-pavement driving, and the Bronco Sport delivered performance we wouldn't expect from any stock crossover." — MotorTrend |
Shoppers will be delighted to discover all of the exciting updates and changes to the proven Ford Bronco Sport for the 2025 model year. Visually, every Bronco Sport receives new front and rear bumpers while Outer Banks and Badlands trim levels can now be equipped with an all-new Sasquatch package. Choosing the Sasquatch package adds a front steel bull bar, rear recovery hooks, underbody skid plates, Bilstein rear dampers with remote reservoirs, all-terrain tires, and elevated ride height. Tech improvements are highlighted by a larger 13.2-inch touchscreen display along with the latest SYNC® 4 infotainment system. Concluding the list of updates are new standard safety features, the most notable of which is adaptive cruise control.
Ford gives you two different engine choices for the Bronco Sport, a 1.5-liter EcoBoost® engine that produces 180 horsepower and a 2.0-liter EcoBoost® that pushes the power up to 238 horsepower. Whichever one you choose, you get an 8-speed automatic transmission and 4X4 standard. Upgrade to the Badlands trim and you get a more advanced 4X4 system with a twin-clutch rear-drive unit with a locking differential that can handle even more extreme terrain. The Bronco Sports comes with an impressive maximum wading depth of 23.6 inches and trail driving is easy thanks to Trail Control™, which adjusts throttle and braking response to suit the terrain. Helping further with this is the Terrain Management System which comes with up to seven settings. Five of these G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Terrain) modes come standard, Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery, and Sand.
The Ford Bronco Sport is built to handle rough environments and both its name and styling convey this. Classic Bronco design elements like round headlights and the encapsulated grille are given a modern spin alongside functional pieces like a roof rack and a low-load floor for the cargo area, complete with a Cargo Management System that has five different configurations. There is also a slide-out work table, an available 400-watt inverter, and liftgate floodlights. They are all part of the functional design of the Bronco Sport. To get even more out of your Bronco Sport, Ford sells a range of accessories as well as four lifestyle bundles geared towards specific activities including Bike, Snow, Water, and Camping.
All of that functionality used in the exterior design of the Ford Bronco Sport carries over into the interior. The seats are made to wipe down easily and the control switches are silicone-sealed. There is even an available full rubber floor so cleaning out the mud from an eventful weekend is easy. But the Bronco Sport is big on comfort too since Ford wants you to be able to enjoy your Monday commute as well. A SYNC® 4 infotainment system with a 13.2-inch touchscreen comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ smartphone integration. The Bronco Sport is a segment leader in second-row headroom and cargo space is ample. In fact, using the dealer-installed optional Yakima interior bike rack you can fit two standing 27.5-inch-wheel mountain bikes in the back, an impressive feat even for larger vehicles.
