About the Ford E-Transit

Transforming the way you optimize the profitability and productivity of your business, the all-electric Ford E-Transit blends remarkable efficiency with proven capability and convenience features. Don’t let skyrocketing fuel prices impact your bottom line by switching to this versatile EV cargo van. Thanks to up to 159 miles of total driving range**, the E-Transit also proves that efficiency doesn’t mean compromising on power with a total system output of 266 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. Giving you the flexibility to charge your van at your business headquarters, at your home at the conclusion of the workday, and even in public on your way to your next job – the E-Transit has charging solutions that simplify your ownership experience. Standard FordPro™ Telematics Essentials make it simple to view, track, and fine-tune the productivity levels of your team as well. Three individual roof heights and body lengths mean that there’s certainly a Ford E-Transit that’s perfectly suited to the unique needs of your specific industry, trade, or business.

What the Critics Say

"The E-Transit shows the extent to which Ford is doubling down on its commitment to EVs. Delivery culture has swept the world by storm, as has a growing concern about the environmental impact of emissions from the trucks and vans that are carrying goods. In a bid to lessen some of the damage from delivery vehicles, Ford has embraced electrification of the Transit." — Motortrend

"As you might imagine, storage is where this cargo van shines. In our test car's low-roof, standard-length configuration it has a maximum cargo capacity of 277.7 cubic feet of cargo space. Frankly, that felt like a large enough space to live in for an extended amount of time, and with the option to add Pro Power Onboard (an option that turns the E-Transit into a massive power supply), we wouldn't be surprised if the E-Transit was soon picked up as the next big thing in the #vanlife movement." — Edmunds

What's New for 2025

While minor, there are still several impressive improvements to the Ford E-Transit model range for the 2025 model year. Up first is the arrival of a new Smart Acceleration Truncation feature that helps mitigate “jackrabbit starts” by taking into account the total weight of the cargo load inside the van. To better serve specific trades and industries, buyers can now select from four factory-direct upfitter packages. These include Electrician Trade, General Contractor, HVAC Trade, and Foldable Shelving packages.

Ford E-Transit Features

Ford E-Transit Performance

All-Electric Capability

Built for the long haul, the Ford E-Transit is a welcome alternative to the gas-guzzling work vans of years past. Thanks to an onboard 89 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and electric motor, the E-Transit delivers a combined system output of 266 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. Even more impressive, you’ll be able to travel up to 159 miles using solely electric power with a fully-charged battery**. Instead of handing over your hard-earned money to the gas station, simply plug in and charge at the conclusion of your work day and wake up to a fully charged battery. By positioning the battery low within the floor of the vehicle, the E-Transit benefits from increased cargo space along with smooth on-road driving manners. It’s easy to find a qualified installer for an available Connected Charge Station by consulting the experts at Ford Pro™. These stations can recharge your van from 0 to 100% in as little as 6 hours. An available Mobile Charging Cord is also offered to give you greater freedom when on the job site or traveling long distances. Drivers can also take advantage of the growing BlueOval Charge Network – the largest public charging network in North America.

Ford E-Transit Capability

Engineered for Work

Eager to adapt to the unique demands of your business, industry, or trade – the Ford E-Transit is offered with an extensive list of clever features to help you get the job done. An excellent example is available Pro Power Onboard, a dedicated supply of 2.4 kW of power that’s ideal for operating power tools, lights, and other equipment when you’re far away from an electrical outlet. Three body lengths and three body lengths offer the versatility you need to stay ahead of your top competitors. If you’re searching for maximum interior room, the high roof configuration allows individuals as tall as 6 feet 9 inches to stand up straight while simultaneously delivering a jaw-dropping 487 cubic feet of cargo space. Maximum payload ratings of up to 3,997 pounds demonstrate that the Ford E-Transit is ready to work as hard as you do.

Ford E-Transit Interior

Tech-Focused Interior

The same forward-thinking innovation that’s found on the powertrain of the Ford E-Transit can be found inside the interior as well. Standard SYNC® 4 with its 12-inch touchscreen display provides instant access to all of your favorite multimedia features. This revolutionary system integrates with FordPro™ Telematics Essentials, giving business owners the freedom and flexibility to track the productivity of their fleet and team. An optional Wi-Fi hotspot and over-the-air software updates let you transform your E-Transit into a mobile workstation, no matter where your next job is located. Adding an extra layer of reassurance behind the wheel, every E-Transit also comes equipped with advanced driver-assistive safety technologies. Highlights include adaptive cruise control with traffic sign recognition, blind spot assist, and a 360-degree camera to help you stay one step ahead of the unknown on the road.
