The Ford F-150 defines the American pickup truck. The best-selling model from any brand by far, the F-150 stays at the top of America’s favorite truck list by continuing to evolve and offer benefits you just won’t find on the slower-evolving competitors. That means advances like aluminum construction, turbocharged engines, a hybrid option, and a fully electric variant in the form of the F-150 Lightning. It’s loaded with advanced driver’s aid technology that goes a step further and makes towing a lot easier as well. There’s available onboard power for tools or camping gear, and the interior converts into a mobile office. A wide variety of trims mean that you can configure your F-150 just right for whatever your needs, from a utilitarian work truck to a posh highway towing vehicle, and everything in between.
“Consistently among the top-selling vehicles in the U.S., the Ford F-150 is an iconic full-size pickup truck. Across its 14 generations the F-150 has become the benchmark, with capability, technology, and creature comforts that drive the segment forward.” – MotorTrend
“The Ford F-150 is America’s best-selling vehicle for good reasons. It does just about everything you could want a full-size truck to do with class-leading towing and hauling capabilities, impressive off-road chops when properly equipped, and an interior that’s both practical and upscale. With a wide range of trims, engines, and configurations available, there’s an F-150 for anyone in the market for a big pickup.” – Kelley Blue Book
2024 brings a modest refresh to the popular Ford F-150 pickup truck. In terms of the exterior look of the F-150, you’ll notice redesigned headlights, new front grille designs, and updated alloy wheel choices for 2024. At the rear, an available Pro Tailgate Assist function is now available with a smaller horizontal opening option for quicker access to cargo within the bed. Performance differences include the discontinuation of last year’s base 3.3-liter gas engine and the optional turbodiesel engine as well. Shoppers can now opt for new features like the popular BlueCruise hands-free driving feature, head-up display, and stolen vehicle locator. Lastly, every F-150 now comes standard with a larger 12-inch touchscreen display (previously an optional upgrade) for the 2024 model year.
Ford F-150 buyers have plenty of excellent choices when it comes to powertrain options. The Ford F-150 boasts best-in-class towing, payload, and horsepower ratings, leading the segment in overall performance. There is even the option of a hybrid powertrain, the 3.5-liter PowerBoost™ V6. The Powerboost offers the most torque and horsepower of any light-duty full-size pickup, while also delivering an EPA-estimated range of approximately 700 miles and a targeted 12,000 pound maximum towing capacity. With 430 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque on board, you’ll be the king of the road whether you’re hauling lumber or a load of groceries. The secret is a 35-kilowatt (47-horsepower) electric motor built into the transmission. Of course, the beloved 5.0 liter Coyote V8 is still available, as well as a selection of eager Ecoboost V6 engines. All F-150 models feature the smooth-shifting 10-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission as standard equipment.
The interior of the Ford F-150 is a great place to spend your day, at work or play. A host of exciting upgrades aim to make the new Ford F-150 even better than it was before. The optional Interior Work Surface gives you a place to eat lunch or work on your laptop or tablet without leaving the comfort of the driver’s seat. Need even more space? An optional feature allows the console shifter to fold inside the center console while the truck is parked for even more interior room. The Max Recline seats, available on the King Ranch and Platinum trims, are able to fold flat, with the bottom cushion rising to meet the seatback to maximize comfort. Zone Lighting is an optional feature that allows passengers to individually control the interior lighting in their space via the standard SYNC® 4 screen or remotely with the FordPass smartphone app.
Ford’s high-tech SYNC® 4 system is now standard equipment for the Ford F-150. SYNC® 4 includes an available 12-inch center touchscreen as well as Co-Pilot360™ 2.0. Co-Pilot360™ 2.0 keeps you aware of potentially dangerous situations on the road to keep you safe with on-demand real-time mapping. With SYNC AppLink®, you can utilize apps such as Waze and Ford+Alexa. Of course, both Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility is included. Active Drive Assist allows you to experience hands-free driving on more than 100,000 miles of divided highways in all 50 states and Canada, while Active Park Assist 2.0 can help you get into a tight space at the push of a button. The F-150 is the first full-size pickup in North America with standard over-the-air updates, so there’s no need to periodically visit the dealership to download the latest software (but you’re always welcome to visit).
