Driver assistance technologies are advancing at a rapid pace, with even mainstream vehicles coming equipped with tech that only existed in science fiction just a decade ago. Ford is a leader in this field, offering features that few competitors have even worked out yet, as well as excellent versions of more common features. There are two levels of Ford driver assistance technology, with Co-Pilot360 representing the standard suite of features that you’ll find on nearly every newer Ford vehicle. Though these are commonplace for Ford vehicles, they are nonetheless highly advanced, and the suite includes:
Ford Vehicles With Standard Or Optional Co-Pilot360
Ford groups more advanced technologies under the Co-Pilot360 Assist+ name. These features take a more active role in vehicle operation, including taking over steering or braking control when needed. And while they aren’t necessarily part of this suite, there are also a number of truck-specific features that are obviously only found on certain vehicles, like BLIS with Trailer Coverage and Pro Trailer Backup Assist. While it isn’t technically part of Co-Pilot360, BlueCruise is still a part of Ford’s range of driver assistance technologies. In fact, it would be accurate to say that BlueCruise is the most advanced driver assistance system, not just for Ford, but the entire industry. BlueCruise is a hands-free version of cruise control that lets you hand over control of your vehicle so that you can sit back and relax. It works on compatible highways, over 130,000 miles of them in North America. It’s an available option on the Mustang Mach-E, F-150, F-150 Lightning, Expedition, and Explorer.
